Paris: Actor R Madhavan was ‘surprised’ after attending the gala dinner hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron in honor of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Louvre museum in Paris. The actor, in his long post on his Instagram handle, expressed his gratitude to PM Modi and President Macron for sharing an attitude of ‘grace and humility’.
He shared several pictures and videos of the dinner in a post that read, “The passion and dedication to do good for India-France ties as well as the people of both countries was palpable and intense during Bastille Day celebrations.” Paris on 14 July 2023. I was completely taken aback by the dinner hosted by President Emmanuel Macron in honor of our Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at the Louvre of these two world leaders, as he enthusiastically described his vision. The future of these two great friendly nations.”
The ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ actor also shared about the French President taking a selfie and how PM Modi “very graciously and sweetly stood up to be a part of it”.
“The positivity and mutual respect in the air was like a loving embrace. I sincerely pray that his vision and dreams bear fruit at the desired and appropriate time for all of us.” President Macron eagerly took a selfie for us while our Honorable Prime Minister very eagerly took a selfie for us.” He said, “Humblely and sweetly stood up to be a part of it… a moment that will forever be etched in my mind for both the uniqueness and impact of that picture.”
Expressing her gratitude to Prime Minister Modi and the French President for their valuable lessons, she said, “Thank you President Macron and Modi ji for the incredible lessons on grace and humility. May France and India always prosper together.”
Talking about the successful launch of Chandrayaan-3 in his post, the actor wrote, “Another spectacular and successful launch of Chandrayaan 3 on 14th July 2023 with the unfailing development engine built by Shri Nambi Narayanan with the help of SEP France. Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron has shared a video on his Twitter handle showing glimpses of PM Modi’s two-day visit. Madhavan was also seen shaking hands with the French President in the video.
The French President tweeted, “Trust and friendship to the people of India.”
Earlier, Madhavan took to his Instagram handle and shared two pictures sharing his look for the dinner. In the pictures, he was seen dressed in a grey-toned blazer and trousers and completed his look with a pair of glasses.
