R Madhavan is ‘at a loss for words’ after seeing Olympian Mirabai Chanu eating on the floor

Superstar R Madhavan is very active on social media and keeps on interacting with his fans on Twitter. On Thursday, the actor revealed that he is at a complete ‘loss of words’ after he came across a picture of Olympic silver medalist Mirabai Chanu eating food while sitting on the floor. Chanu, who hails from Manipur, recently won the women’s weightlifting 49 kg category at the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

R Madhavan re-shared a post showing Chanu sitting on the floor and eating his food after a resounding win and expressed his surprise. The actor tweeted, “Oh that can’t be true. I am short of words.” The original tweet read, “Mirabai Chanu at her humble home in Manipur after winning the silver medal in #Olympics…this strong willed woman didn’t let the lack of resources and poverty keep her from achieving her dreams Roka! A true inspiration!”

Mirabai Chanu took to Twitter to share the big spread prepared for her at her home and revealed that she is eating home-cooked food after two years. He tweeted, “That smile when you eat ghar ka khana after 2 years.”

Chanu also returned to her family after two years. In another tweet, he said, “The feeling of meeting my family after a long gap of 2 years is beyond words. I am grateful to all of you for showing faith in me and supporting me. Thank you to everyone Emma and Baba, the sacrifices you have made for me to reach this level.”

While many celebrities celebrated Mirabai Chanu’s medal win on various social media platforms, Radhe star Salman Khan’s post was special for her as he is her favorite actor. When asked about his favorite actor during one of his earlier interviews, Chanu took Salman’s name and said, “Salman Khan mujhe bahut hi pasand hai. Unki body structure, sab pasand hai. (I like Salman Khan and his bidy structure)”

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh received Mirabai Chanu at the airport along with her cabinet colleagues, MLAs, officials, her family members, friends and supporters. He attended a grand reception organized by the Directorate of Youth Affairs and Sports, Manipur at the City Convention Auditorium just after reaching Imphal. CM Biren Singh handed over a check of Rs 1 crore and appointment letter to Mirabai to become Additional Superintendent of Police (Sports) at the reception.
