During the screening of R Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi Effect in Kolkata, a group of spectators lost their cool and got into a fight with the theater management. The video of the incident made its way on the internet as it is being circulated online. The actor who was tagged in the video took to social media to speak his mind on this unfortunate episode.
Referring to the video on his Twitter handle, Madhavan urged people to remain calm. He wrote, “There must have been a real reason and reason. Please keep calm and show some love ppl. Humble prayer. The show will be on soon. Full love.”

The fight between the theater management and the audience members started when the screening of the film was abruptly stopped after the Bofors scandal scene. This enraged the fans as they sought an explanation from the theater staff and also demanded a refund.
Rocketry: The Nambi Effect traces the life and journey of Nambi Narayanan, an aerospace engineer working in the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). The film, which released in theaters on July 1, received a mixed response from the audience and critics. The Hindi version of the film has so far collected Rs 12.15 crore. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film garnered growth at the box office largely due to its ‘tremendous word of mouth’.
R Madhavan not only played the character of Nambi Narayanan on the silver screen but also directed the film. Apart from acting and directing, the actor has also produced and written a biopic.
