Ahead of the assembly election results for the states of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur on Thursday, March 10, political parties are sending their views for possible post-poll alliances.
The Chief Election Commissioner of India (CEC) said on Wednesday that the counting of votes in connection with the general elections to the Legislative Assemblies of Goa, Manipur, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh in 690 assembly constituencies and by-elections to the 99-Majuli (ST) Legislative Assembly of Assam. The meeting area will be held tomorrow, news agency ANI reported. The CEC said that 671 counting observers, 130 police observers and 10 special observers would be in the fray.
