People not only liked its story but also got attached to the music album. With the Hindi version of the film released later, the popularity share only went up a notch. While the original Telugu film has five songs, among them Srivalli, sung by Javed Ali, and Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava, by Indravati Chauhan, are the most popular.

Speaking to ETimes, Prasad highlighted that usually when songs move from one language to another, they lose their charm. So, his focus was on getting the little things right, and making sure the lyrics didn’t go wrong. Prasad said, “Every language has a different charm. The key is that no matter what the language, the poetry of the song should not be lost.” The music director mainly works in three languages i.e. Tamil, Telugu and Hindi – and while composing music for a film – he works “in parallel on different languages”.

After the popularity of Pushpa’s music album, DSP has got many opportunities Bollywood very. He admitted that he did not always give preference to Hindi films, however, recently his approach has changed. He explains, “Earlier, I was always working out of Chennai and focused on Telugu and Tamil songs and not really paying much attention to Hindi. But after the lockdown, I have decided that I should give more time to Hindi also.

Prasad will now compose music for Salman Khan’s Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. Along with this, he is also working in Varun Dhawan’s Bawal.
