Pushpa (Hindi) is doing great business in Maharashtra, CP Brar and Gujarat circuits. Looking at the current trend, the film is expected to earn 40 crores by the end of the second week. Interestingly, Ranveer Singh starrer ’83’ and Hollywood film ‘Spiderman: No Way Home’ posted a drop in collections on Monday, but ‘Pushpa’ Hindi registered an upward trend.
‘Pushpa’ is originally a Telugu language action drama, released in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi languages. Starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles, this entertainer is written and directed by Sukumar. The film released on December 17 and a section of the audience objected to a particular romantic scene in the film. The sequence in question shows the lead actor touching his girlfriend’s chest in a public place. This raised eyebrows as the gesture was not liked by the Telugu audience. The ‘van scene’ or ‘tiffin scene’ faced a lot of criticism from Allu Arjun’s fans and after the uproar, the makers decided to drop the controversial sequence.
