On Thursday, there was a sit-in demonstration in Belda of Kharagpur tehsil on the demand to start the local train immediately. Under this demonstration organized by Belda Rail Passengers and Citizens Welfare Committee, construction of over bridge at Keshiadi Mor, starting of super specialty hospital and construction of auditorium including Puri-New Delhi Express stop at Belda and on the demand of all round development of the town. The program of procession, path meeting and handing over memorandum to government officials was followed.
The procession, which started from Keshiadi Mor, after circumambulating the town, ended after reaching Keshiadi Mor. A path meeting was organized at the end of the procession. During this, the speakers demanded to start the operation of local trains immediately. After this, a memorandum was submitted to Belda station manager. During this, on the same issue, on October 25, it was announced to hand over a memorial letter to the DRM of Kharagpur.
The officials of the committee said that due to the absence of local trains, people are facing severe problems. During the Corona period, people are forced to travel in packed buses, so there is a need to start the train immediately. Pradeep Das, Ramlal Rathi, Tushar Jana, Sushant Panigrahi, Animesh Pahari and Manas Pradhan were prominent among those present in the entire program.
