Punjab’s AG Deol’s counterattack: Sidhu is stuck in the work of the government and the Advocate General; False things spread for political gains

State Congress chief Navjot Sidhu has been attacked by Advocate General (AG) APS Deol. He said that Sidhu is obstructing the work of the government and the Advocate General. Not only this, Sidhu is spreading lies for his political gains. Although APS Deol has resigned but it has not been accepted yet. He has been asked to work till a new AG is found.

Advocate Deol said that Sidhu is constantly spoiling the efforts of the government to give justice in the case of drugs and sacrilege.

The AG also hinted at Sidhu’s aspiration to become the CM. He said that Sidhu is spreading false information to gain political advantage over his fellow leaders. He said that before the next Punjab elections, efforts are being made to defame the working of Congress. At the same time, the constitutional post of Advocate General was also politicised.

Sidhu has been continuously raising the cases of drugs and sacrilege in Punjab. In the press conference on Friday, he attacked CM Charanjit Channi and the government. Sidhu said that 50 days have passed in 90 days government but what did the government do on these 2 issues?. Sidhu had resigned from the post of Punjab Congress President in protest against the appointment of Advocate Deol to the post of AG. Even now Sidhu said that till the new AG and DGP does not come, he will not go to Congress Bhavan.

Sidhu said that Advocate Deol was the lawyer of former DGP Sumedh Saini, the main accused in the sacrilege case. He called the Punjab government a liar in the court. He had questioned the intention of the Punjab government to investigate these cases. In such a situation, appointing him as AG is completely wrong. After which Advocate Deol has given this reply to Sidhu.
