Earlier in the day, Social Justice Minister Raj Kumar Verka made a statement in Amritsar that Amarinder may return to the Congress soon.
The former chief minister had resigned from the party on November 2, saying he was hurt by the conduct of Sonia and her children – Rahul and Priyanka.
He also revealed the name of his new political party on the same day.
