Kannada cinema icon Puneeth Rajkumar died of a heart attack on Friday. The 46-year-old was taken to a private hospital, where he was given emergency treatment in the ICU. The doctors declared him brought dead after some time.

Puneeth, the most loved actor of his generation, was the son of Kannada film icon Rajkumar. In 2002, director Puri Jagannadh launched her in a leading role in his masala film Appu. The film was a super hit of its time and completed a run of 200 days in the theatres.

Punit’s first film Appu in a leading role became so popular that the actor was later given the nickname after the title of the film. He made his debut with Rakshita. In the film, he played the role of a college boy and received praise from critics for his acting and dancing skills. He also sang the song ‘Taliban Alla Alla’ for the film.

Puneeth’s mother Prathamma Rajkumar produced the film under ‘Purnima Enterprises’. The film was so successful that it was released as “Idiot” in Telugu in 2002, as “Dum” in Tamil in 2003, as “Hero” in Bengali in 2006 and as “Priya Amar Priya” in Bangladeshi Bengali in 2008. as rebuilt.

Puneeth Rajkumar was the third son of Kannada film stars Rajkumar and Parvathamma.

In his career he acted in 29 films in Kannada. As a child artist, he acted in 15 films with his father. For his performance in Bettada Hoovu in 1985, he also received the National Film Award for Best Child Actor. Then he was only 10 years old.
