Pune: Pune Metropolitan Region (PMR) recorded 227 Covid cases and 226 recoveries on Friday. In addition, two patients succumbed to the infection, one each. Pimpri Chichwado and rural parts, in the last 24 hours.
A report released by District Health Officer Bhagwan Pawar said the new cases in rural parts along the municipal limits of Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad remained below 100.
PMC areas reported 88 new cases and 95 discharges, while rural and cantonment border together recorded 83 new patients and Pimpri Chinchwad added 56 new patients.
The number of positive patients has reached 11.56 lakh, while the total discharge has crossed 11.35 lakh.
The number of active cases in PMR stood at 2,076 on Friday.
