Following reports that some senior opposition leaders were planning to leave Lakhimpur Kheri On Sunday night itself, the Lucknow Police threw a security cordon around the houses of all the top opposition leaders in Lucknow. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Reached Lucknow late on Sunday evening, and despite the security cordon around her residence, she managed to sneak out and get into her car to leave for Lakhimpur, walking 2 km. When the last report came after midnight, the police were planning to stop his convoy before crossing the Sitapur border.
