New Delhi: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said that she has been detained at Sitapur Guest House without any legal warrant, now a case has been registered against her and the leader has been arrested.

SHO of Hargaon police station in Sitapur district said that 11 people including Priyanka Gandhi, Deependra Hooda and Ajay Kumar Lallu have been booked for disturbing the peace.

According to the inputs of ABP News, Priyanka Gandhi has been arrested under Section 151,107,116 and the PAC Guest House has been converted into a temporary jail for the Congress General Secretary. The FIR states that he was arrested on October 4 at 4:30 am and was not taken into custody. After this, the SHO Hargaon had also sent the challan to the 151 magistrate.

This comes after the Congress general secretary shared back-to-back tweets calling on the central and state government to detain opposition leaders and prevent them from visiting the Lakhimpur violence site where 8 people, including four farmers, were killed. .

However, the UP government has restricted everyone to visit the site as Section 144 was imposed in the area on Sunday night.

Congress workers stage a massive sit-in outside Sitapur PAC guest house, where Priyanka Gandhi was detained on Monday.

The Congress general secretary also shared a purported video of the incident in which the car is seen hitting and crushing several people. The video is being claimed that it is of the violent incident in Lakhimpur, in which 8 people including four farmers were crushed to death by a car.
