When etimes executive editor, Vinita Dawra Nangia, asked about life advice her father Dr. Ashok Chopra Given to him – ‘Be like water’, which the actress recounts in her memoir, Priyanka said, “Such a beautiful idea, isn’t it? When you move to a new place, you have a clean slate, so you can be whoever you want to be.”
Priyanka continued, “And then he said, ‘You must be like water’, and I said, ‘What does that mean?’ “Water can be as strong as a waterfall. It can fall on stones and pierce them. So can strong water. But at the same time, it can also be as still as a teacup. It can be something,” he said. and whatever he wishes may be within any vessel in which it is kept.”
The multitalented star explained why it was such great advice and added, “That’s why we have to be like water, adapt anywhere and thrive in whatever kind of situation we’ve been put into. At such a young age, It was so empowering. I know I’m not bound by the situation I’m in, but if I were to move to a new city, being curious about what I know instead of being afraid of what I don’t know needed.”
PeeCee concluded, “So we should all bow down and ask questions and educate ourselves. So learning at such a young age was a very powerful thing.”
