Priyanka Chopra married Nick Jonas in 2018 and the couple welcomed their first child, a baby girl, last year. In a recent interview, PC talked about how her friends’ kids are currently 16 or 17. She explained that women are ‘raised with many glass ceilings’ and compared her life to that of her friends.

“It’s tough because I think we grew up with a lot of glass ceilings. Unfortunately, many of us are told there’s only so much you can do. And ambition usually — and maybe yours and mine For, maybe for our families – it’s different,” Priyanka told Femina.

Talking about his friends, the global icon further added that it is ‘fine’ if they choose to stay at home and take care of their families. Priyanka further added that perhaps her friends were ‘not encouraged to pursue their ambitions or professional careers’. “I come from a small town. Many of my friends were married in their early twenties and were not encouraged to pursue their ambitions or professional careers. They have kids who are 16 and 17 now. And that’s fine. There is nothing wrong in staying at home, taking care of your family. I love doing that. It’s one of my favorite things,” she said.
