Priyanka Chopra shared that adding ‘Jonas’ to her name is a testament to how she has evolved in her 23-year-long career.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas tied the holy knot in December 2018. The love birds have been going strong since then and serve up major couple goals. The actress recently opened up about their relationship and also recalled that it was the first time she saw Jonas attached to her name after marriage.
While promoting her next stronghold, the actress told FOX5, “It’s a reminder to people that I’ve been moved.” She said, “The first time I saw it, I thought it was The Matrix or my other movies or my book or something. I looked at my husband and I was like, ‘You know right. That I love you. Can you tell? You know it better.’ But of course the gravity of the decision and also the fact that my name and my identity have evolved over the 22-23 years that I have been doing this.
She further added, “I think Utsah is still looking up to herself. You can call me Priyanka, you can call me Priya, you can call me PCJ, whatever. It doesn’t change the fact. That’s me and it’s exciting.
When asked about seeing her name on billboards and posters, she shared, “I did a film which was based on an Olympic female boxing champion. Her name was Mary Kom and it was written ‘Priyanka Chopra as Mary Kom’. I remember seeing him for the first time. The gravity of it… and then my TV series Quantico came out, I remember my face on a building on Sunset Boulevard and my name on top. It really is mind-blowing when you see it. Your name in glowing letters, it’s tantric, it’s so exciting to see.
Back in January 2022, Priyanka Chopra And Nick Jonas welcomed his first child through surrogacy, a daughter named Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. Their younger daughter had recently come to India with her parents.
