Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas and her pop star husband Nick Jonas are recently parents to their first child via surrogacy. Priyanka, 39, and Nick, 29, shared the good news on their respective Instagram accounts at midnight on January 22. Even though Priyanka and Nick have refrained from revealing the gender of their baby, several reports in international entertainment websites suggested that the two welcomed a baby girl.
Their baby was born 12 weeks ago at a hospital in Southern California, where she will stay until she is healthy enough to return to Nick-Priyanka’s home, a source told DailyMail.com. The couple was reportedly expecting their child in April and Priyanka had also cleared her work schedule to embrace motherhood.
However, latest reports suggest that Priyanka may opt out of Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s ‘Jee Le Zara’, in which she stars alongside Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif. According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the actress wants to be with her baby girl.
The makers of ‘Jee Le Zara’ are also reportedly worried after announcing their good news. According to Bollywood Hungama, Priyanka wants to give her time and energy to her first child. The report also suggests that the producers, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani are exploring other options who can replace Priyanka in the film.
Zee Le Zara was announced last year. Billed as a road trip drama, the film is produced by Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment, and stars Tiger Baby, Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti.
Farhan Akhtar said he is looking forward to working in the film, which he announced on the 20th anniversary of his directorial debut “Dil Chahta Hai”.
