PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate the All India Mayors Conference today.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and address the All India Mayors’ Conference on Friday at 10:30 am with the theme ‘New Urban India’.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the conference is being organized by the Urban Development Department of Uttar Pradesh in Varanasi. Mayors of various states across the country will participate in the conference.

“It has been a constant endeavor of the Prime Minister to make life easier in the urban areas. The government has launched several schemes and initiatives to address the issues of dilapidated urban infrastructure and lack of facilities. The focus has been the state of Uttar Pradesh, which has seen tremendous progress and transformation in the urban landscape especially in the last five years,” the PMO said in its release.

An exhibition is also being organized from 17 to 19 December to showcase the major achievements of the Government of India and the Government of Uttar Pradesh in the field of urban development.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Puri will also be present on the occasion.
