Petrol-diesel prices increasing continuously, 8 rupees a liter expensive in 13 days

Petrol and diesel prices continued to rise as both the fuels were priced 80 paise a liter higher than the previous day. Petrol in the national capital was priced at Rs 103.41 per liter and diesel at Rs 94.67 per litre.

In Mumbai, petrol and diesel prices per liter stood at Rs 118.41 (an increase of 84 paise) and Rs 102.64 (an increase of 85 paise), respectively.

In Chennai, petrol and diesel were priced at Rs 108.96 (an increase of 75 paise) and Rs 99.04 per liter respectively. Petrol in Kolkata was priced at Rs 113.03 (an increase of 84 paise) and diesel at Rs 97.82 (an increase of 80 paise) respectively.

Rates have been increased across the country and vary from state to state based on local taxation events.

This is the 11th increase in prices since the end of a four-and-a-half-month long hiatus in the revised rates on March 22. Overall, petrol prices have increased by Rs 8 per litre.
