A case of gang rape with a pregnant woman and mother of three children has come to light in Andhra Pradesh. According to police, three people gang-raped on Saturday night at Repalle railway station in Bapatla district. The incident happened on the platform number of the railway station where the family was waiting for the train to arrive. The accused first kidnapped the entire family. Then tied the woman’s husband and beat him badly. The woman’s husband raised an alarm and tried to get help from the Railway Police, but to no avail. The injured woman is undergoing treatment at the hospital.

The family was going in search of work

According to the police, three accused were arrested, one of whom is a minor. According to the report of NDTV, this incident happened at 1 pm on Saturday night. The victim’s family was going from Guntur to Krishna district in search of work. The family is a resident of Prakasam district.

On Saturday night, a family of five was sleeping on a bench waiting for a train at the railway station, when all three people woke them up. It is being told that all the three accused were intoxicated. The accused attacked the woman’s husband and when his wife intervened, they dragged her away from the station in Repalle. Repalle railway station is located at a distance of about 80 km from Amaravati, the capital of Andhra Pradesh. The woman’s husband tried to get help from the railway police after running away, but no officer was found at the station. Later, the woman was found injured in the nearby bushes. He has been admitted to the hospital for medical examination and treatment.

Women’s commission became strict

The shocking incident comes at a time when the government is claiming to have fast track investigation, prosecution under the Disha scheme to ensure the safety of women in Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh Women’s Commission Chairperson Vasireddy Padma has directed the police to take serious action against the accused. Padma has also directed the doctors to provide better medical help to the victim. Meanwhile, Telugu Desam Party leaders staged a sit-in in front of the hospital demanding strict action against the accused.
