PRAYAGRAJ: AICC general secretary and UP’s in-charge Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Thursday talked to city students, who allegedly faced police high-handedness, through Zoom meet.
Priyanka asked about the trauma faced by them during police raid at their hostellodge and high-handedness. She also promised them to meet whenever she visits the Sangam City and appealed to them not to vacate lodges in panic.
Narrating the sequence of events, students claimed that police entered their lodges and thrashed them without any reason. They also gave their views in the alleged irregularities being committed in railway’s NTPC and Group D job exams.

Assuring them the support of Congress, Priyanka asked students not to be scared (darne ki jaroorat nahin hai) and said they can raise their voice in a democratic way. She also advised students to question all political parties over the issue of joblessness and ask their plan regarding employment.
She also assured students to release examination calendar if her government comes to power in the state and also promised to fill the vacant government posts.
Priyanka told students the “we are standing with you and will raise your voice on all platforms.”
She also told students “government doesn’t provide you jobs, and acts hard on you. When leaders come to you for seeking your votes, you must decide their responsibility.”
One of the student told TOI that it was AICC general secretary’s nice gesture when she met students over Zoom call.
