Prateik Babbar almost made his acting debut opposite Sanjay Leela Bhansali! The actor, who is the son of actors Raj Babbar and the late Smita Patil, made his acting debut with Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, playing the brother of Genelia D’Souza (now Deshmukh). In a recent interview with Mashable India, Prateek revealed that Sanjay Leela Bhansali had tried to contact him through his home number. Prateek also recalled that he came to know about Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s invitation to his house after many years.
“Actually I have a funny story. Mr. Sanjay Leela Bhansali was calling my house for Saawariya when I was 18, when I was in rehab. I was too young, I was in rehab so it didn’t work Could. But my grandparents told me a few years later.”
The actor said that he does not regret that he missed out on the film as he did not want to be an actor at that time in his life.
