UDAIPUR: The state government’s Prashashan Gaon ke Sangh (PGKS) campaign in Udaipur The district is gaining momentum. The immediate response to the plight of people in remote areas during the campaign has been appreciated by those who were longing for relief.
The approval of 160 land pattas in a single day was one of the biggest achievements of the PGKS campaign in the district.
According to BDO Praveen Kumar Gupta, 160 land pattas were handed over to the people of Karakala village of Jhalara despite the scattered population. People had been living in this village for more than 50 years, but had never heard of Patta. “During the campaign, we provided land pattas to 90 per cent of the village population,” Gupta said. During the camp, 20 birth certificates, 10 death certificates and new job cards were provided to 11 families under the NREGA scheme. Pension payment order letters were also distributed to 13 persons.
The PGKS campaign was a pleasant experience for the people of other villages as well. For Ram Singh of Sakariyakhedi village in Mavli, getting the land deed was nothing short of a miracle. Development officer Jitendra Singh Chundawat said that Singh’s house is located in the ‘abadi’ land of the gram panchayat, but he is not getting bank loans and other benefits due to lack of lease. When Singh brought his problem to the camp, the officer-in-charge and development officer issued the lease on the spot. Singh also benefited from the Swachh Bharat Mission, in which Rs 12,000 was directly transferred to his bank account. His family was awarded the title of “Garvilo Parivar” for the use of toilets in the Swachh Bharat Mission.
The much-needed relief was provided to Samri Devi, a state widow pension beneficiary of Balewadi village as her monthly pension was increased from Rs 500 to Rs 1,000 after necessary corrections in the age certificate. The PGKS camps were a boon for Ganga of Pipli Phala village when she got benefits under the Palanhara scheme. Ganga’s two daughters were not getting the benefit of foster care. In this camp, after preparing all the documents of Palanhar scheme, the application was prepared on the spot with the help of Sarpanch and Village Development Office. After verification of the online form by E-Mitra, approval was issued on the spot and the adoption process was approved in just one day.
In Gogunda’s Obra Kala Gram Panchayat, the land lease was distributed to 128 beneficiaries. This camp proved to be unexpected for Bhanwari Bai, who was deprived of food security benefits at the ration shop due to finger print problem.
