Kannada actor-director Rishab Shetty has become a household name India After receiving worldwide acclaim for his larger-than-life mythological film, Kantara. His wife, fashion stylist and costume designer Pragati Shetty is also no less than a celebrity. Though Pragati maintains a low profile, she always impresses the audience with her apparel choices. Her latest pictures in desi avatar are proof of this.

Brocade work was done on the Anarkali suit, which was making her look even more beautiful. Pragati opted for a no-makeup look and simply applied pink lipstick and a tint of kajal eyes. Even in a no-makeup look, Pragati stopped the fashion traffic and made everyone stare. Sharing the pictures on Instagram, she wrote in the caption, “Nothing is as contagious as a smile from a whole heart.”

Social media users were impressed by her fashion sensibility and heaped praises on her. One user wrote that Rishabh should have chosen her as the female lead of Kantara. While another wrote that he mesmerized everyone with his simple looks. Others showered heart and fire emoticons on the wonderful pictures of progress.

Pragati shot to fame after designing costumes for Kantara. In an earlier conversation with News18, Pragati had revealed that she had to create over 1,000 well-researched and tailored costumes for the actors. According to Pragati, he started researching for Kantara’s costume after getting the script. At the time, she was pregnant with their daughter. But, he nevertheless meticulously researched every aspect of the costumes to make them picture-perfect as per the requirements of the film. To design these costumes, she visited Guthina Mane (the family home of people who are village leaders in coastal Karnataka). He checked their old photographs and made reference to the costumes and jewelery worn by the king and queen.

The progress did not stop here and for her research she also visited Rani Abbakka Tulu Museum, a cultural center located in Bantwal, Karnataka. He collected many photographs of that period, which helped him a lot in his research.
