Despite the supply of coal, the power crisis continues in Punjab. On Monday, 12 rakes of coal reached the state. Despite this, 5 units of the thermal plant are lying closed. The worst condition was in Jalandhar on Monday. There was a blackout of 9 hours here during 24 hours. At present, it may take another 3 days for the situation to improve. Till then people across Punjab will have to face similar declared and undeclared power cuts.

Rajpura and Talwandi got 6-6 racks

On Monday, 6-6 rakes of coal came for Rajpura and Talwandi Sabo thermal plants. On Tuesday also 13 rakes of coal are expected to reach. Of these, 6 will be supplied at Rajpura Thermal Plant, 4 at Mansa, 2 at Goindwal Sahib and one at Lehra Mohabbat. Officials say that it may take some time for the coal to reach the plant, due to which the power supply is getting delayed.

Production stopped in these 5 units

In Punjab, power generation is still suspended in 5 units. These include 1-1 units of Ropar and Lehra Mohabbat run by the government. The remaining three units are from private thermal plants including Goindwal.
