Post COVID clinics to be set up in Tamil Nadu: CM MK Stalin

Chennai: Speaking in the Assembly, MK Stalin said that the budget to be presented in the House will include the program of the government, its journey in that direction, obstacles and challenges and steps to remove those obstacles.

The CM said, “The Governor’s address is like a movie trailer containing the policies of the government for a year. It cannot include the five-year plans and programs of the government.”

Referring to the various steps taken by the DMK government, the Chief Minister said that the first task of the government was to recover its treasury which was now in a dilapidated condition.

The DMK had waited for 10 years and is now back in power, Stalin said, citing the adage ‘only those with patience will rule the land’.

“We will fulfill all our election promises and there is no need to doubt it,” he said.

On the Kovid-19 epidemic, Stalin said that it is a problem of the people and not a political or party problem and the government has formed a committee with MPs from all parties for this.

He said that post COVID clinics with specialist doctors would be set up in the state to address the complications of COVID-19.

The CM announced two industries- one in Cheyyar and one in Tindivanam to provide employment to a large number of people in the state. He also said that the cases registered against the anti-Kudankulam/Nutrino/Methane/8 Lane Expressway protesters would be withdrawn.

The Tamil Nadu government will also allocate Rs 100 crore which will be spent for repairing old temples and temple cars.
