Poonam Pandey is still alive and well. The actress posted an awareness-raising film on “cervical cancer.”
She sent out a video on social media claiming, “I am alive. Cervical cancer did not cause my death. Regretfully, I am unable to state the same for the countless numbers of women who have died from cervical cancer.

She stated, “I feel compelled to share something significant with you all – I am here, alive,” as the caption for the video.
Although I was not affected by cervical cancer, hundreds of women have sadly lost their lives to the disease as a result of inadequate awareness about treatment options. Cervical cancer is totally avoidable, in contrast to many other types of cancer. Early screening testing and the HPV vaccine are crucial. We have the tools to make sure that this illness doesn’t claim anyone’s life. Let’s ensure that every woman is aware of the necessary steps and empower each other with crucial awareness.
“Together, let’s strive to bring #DeathToCervicalCancer and end the devastating impact of the disease,” she continued.
On February 4, 2000, during the Global Summit Against Cancer for the New Millennium in Paris, World Cancer Day was first observed. Additionally, January 22–January 28 of 2024 is designated as Cervical Cancer Prevention Week.
