Ponniyin Selvan’s New Song Sol Featuring Trisha And Sobhita Dhulipala Released

The team of Ponniyin Selvan 1 recently took the hearts of the fans with the release of another song, Soul. According to the film’s editor Sreekar Prasad, the song was removed to make the film shorter. Additionally, he stated that it disrupted the flow of the film as it felt a bit isolated. The scene where Vallavarayan Vandhiyathevan (Karthi) and Kundhavai (Trisha) meet for the first time is included in the song and is narrated on the royal boat. There is a dance-song about the princess’s ideal boy – Kundhavai, along with her friend Vanathi (Sobhita Dhulipala) and their many other companions.

The song is written by AR Rahman and sung by Rakshita Suresh. Within four hours, the track garnered over 2.5 million views. It has been released on Tamil Tips YouTube channel. Fans have liked the song. A user wrote, “ARR’s music + Rakshita’s voice + Trisha, Sobita’s expressions = pure bliss.” Another wrote, “The river set is great for the song. For those who have read the books, this song is anticipating the predictions of Koodanthai Jyothidar. Well done.”

Some fans have also commented about Sol’s appointment in Ponniyin Selvan 1. The same swan boat where Trisha instructs Karthi to go to Sri Lanka and delicately professes her love with the beautiful BGM, Aaga Naga Aaga Naga.

Mani Ratnam is the director of Ponniyin Selvan. The first installment, backed by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, hit the theaters in September. Karthi, Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Nasser, Prakash Raj and Sarathkumar add to the ensemble cast in the film. The film is based on the book of the same name written by Kalki. The film opened to a favorable critical and financial response.
