Rakshita Suresh recalled the moment her car crashed into the road divider on Sunday. The singer said she is “lucky to be alive.”

Singer Rakshita Suresh met with a “major” car accident in Malaysia on Sunday morning. She shared an update about her health and the accident in an Instagram post. The south singer, who lent her voice to Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 2, shared her harrowing experience and expressed gratitude for being “lucky to be alive”. In his statement, he recalled the moment of the accident when his car crashed into a road divider and how his “whole life spun before his eyes.” The singer credits her car’s airbags for saving her life. “Meeted with a major accident today. The car I was riding in hit a divider and broke down on the side of the road while I was going back to the airport in Malaysia this morning. Those 10 seconds of impact During this time my whole life flashed in front of me,” she wrote.

Rakshita Suresh said: “Thank you for the airbags, otherwise things would have been worse. Still shaking from what happened, but I am very happy that I, the driver and other co-passengers who were sitting on the front seat, Are safe with only minor external injuries and a few internal injuries. Grateful and lucky (sic) to be alive.”

Her friends and fans expressed relief in the comments section. One user wrote, ‘Thank God take care of yourself. Please wear seat belt. Another user shared his sentiments saying, “My heart skipped a beat. thank God. Take care.”

Another related to the experience and offered words of encouragement for a speedy recovery, “I can relate, as I experienced something similar and survived with minimal injuries a few years back. You’ll be on the mend soon and back in full form in no time. Strength and peace to your heart and mind.”

Singers Sirisha Bhagwatula and Jonita Gandhi also shared their wishes. Jonita commented, “Oh my God! Take care thangchhai.” Meanwhile, Sirisha expressed her relief, writing, “Oh my god. please keep in mind. thank God.”
