Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Badal directly surrounded CM Charanjit Channi. He said that due to the high oil prices, the pockets of Punjabis are getting affected a lot. He said that taking lessons from other states, the CM should immediately reduce VAT on petrol and diesel in Punjab and make it cheaper by Rs 10.

Sukhbir Badal also called the Centre’s cut as an incomplete decision taken late. He said that people have to suffer a lot due to the expensive rates. Now Punjab is demanding that the rates should be reduced immediately.

Punjab BJP leader Vineet Joshi said that the rates of petrol and diesel have also been reduced in BJP ruled states. The Congress government of Punjab should also reduce the rate immediately so that people can get more relief.
