After the national executive meeting, Shiv Sena leader and Maharashtra minister Aaditya Thackeray said the current situation, which has prevailed in the party, is a fight between “truth and lies”.

Speaking to the media, he said: “You already know what was discussed in the meeting, the important thing is that we will not forget the betrayal committed by the rebel Shiv Sena MLAs. We (Shiv Sena) will definitely win.” Shiv Sena president and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s son Aaditya held a meeting with Shiv Sena workers from south Mumbai to rally the party cadre.

Aaditya Thackeray said that 10-15 MLAs are still in touch with him. He warned that the rebel MLAs should remember that if there is a floor test, then the way to the assembly passes through Worli, Bhaikla, Bandra.

Aditya further said: “Lakhs of rupees are being spent every day on our MLAs, which they have forcibly taken away. Those who have betrayed should not be allowed to win at any cost. We are ready to fight again. Do they have the strength to fight without Shiv Sena?”

The leader said that: “After the incident, Mamata Banerjee and Sonia Gandhi called the chief minister and said that the Center was acting like a Nazi government.” Elections to the Shiv Sena-controlled Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) are expected to be held later this year. The Mumbai civic polls are crucial for the Shiv Sena, which considers Mumbai as its stronghold.
