Political heavyweights will take to the streets of Varanasi for the mega roadshow starting today

In the next 36 hours, Varanasi will witness a battle of roadshows as some big political stalwarts including PM Modi, Akhilesh Yadav and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra gear up for a massive roadshow.

The roadshow war will start from Thursday, in which Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will take part in the roadshow on Thursday evening. This will be followed by another mega roadshow of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday. Akhilesh Yadav will also hold a road show in the same evening, which will make it difficult for the district administration to handle all these big political events.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has reached Varanasi to do her road show. She will be camping in Varanasi till March 5, when the campaigning for the last phase of elections will end. Rahul Gandhi is also likely to join Priyanka Gandhi at a rally at Pindra assembly seat in Varanasi on March 4.

As per the schedule, PM Modi will land in Varanasi on Friday afternoon and will soon start the roadshow, which will cover two-three assembly constituencies before ending at Kashi Vishwanath Dham. After this, on Saturday, the PM will rally in Khajuri village of Varanasi district for all the eight assembly constituencies here. Meanwhile, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is also reaching Varanasi after voting in his parliamentary constituency Gorakhpur on Thursday. He will camp in Varanasi till the PM leaves on March 4.

Akhilesh Yadav, along with West Bengal Chief Ministers Mamata Banerjee, Jayant Choudhary, Shivpal Yadav Om Prakash Rajbhar and Krishna Patel, descends in Varanasi on Thursday for a big joint rally near Varanasi Ring Road. Akhilesh will hold a roadshow in Varanasi soon after the conclusion of PM’s roadshow on Friday.

Samajwadi Party leaders have complained that they have got only two hours’ permission for Akhilesh’s roadshow from 8 pm to 10 pm after the PM’s roadshow is over.
