Police Serve Notices to Students Involved in Indore Medical College Ragging Case

Citing a complaint lodged by the college management, the police said that the accused students had allegedly ragged their juniors by doing some obscene acts.

Ten students were allegedly involved in ragging and eight of them have been identified.

“We have released eight senior students (who were allowed to go home from the police station) in the medical college ragging case after giving them notices under the provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) and receiving assurances that they would Will cooperate and present. before the court at the time of filing the charge sheet,” said Tehzeeb Qazi, in-charge of Sanyogitaganj police station.

The police officer said that following a complaint on the University Grants Commission’s helpline, the college management had registered a case of ragging on July 24.
