This disclosure has come after a joint investigation by the police and the Ministry of Health.
The health ministry said ‘Whippets’ pose a significant threat and can cause hallucinogenic effects among its users with long-term side effects such as loss of consciousness, neurological impairment and risk of addiction. The Health Ministry also reiterated that ‘Whippets’ are illegal in Israel.
The investigation initially started after a report by the youth section of the investigation department and the youth department of the Central District Police, about the use of ‘Whippet’ among the youth.
