PM Narendra Modi took metro to Delhi Univ, interacts with students

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday traveled by metro rail from Lok Kalyan Marg metro station to Vishwavidyalaya in the national capital to visit Delhi University.

The Prime Minister was on his way to attend the centenary celebrations of Delhi University when he was seen interacting with people in the Delhi Metro.

As per the schedule, PM Modi will participate in the closing ceremony of the centenary celebrations of the university.

Earlier, the Prime Minister had given details about his visit in a Twitter post and wrote, “Looking forward to attending the centenary celebrations of Delhi University tomorrow, June 30 at 11 am. As a premier center of education, DU has been nurturing talent and fostering intellectual growth for over a century. Congratulations to the DU fraternity on this milestone.”

It is to be noted that PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of Delhi University’s Computer Centre, Faculty of Technology building and Academic Block to be built in the University’s North Campus.
