New Delhi: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar lost his mother Aruna Bhatia on September 8, 2021. The actor was very close to his mother and shared a great bond with her. Several celebrities visited the actor’s residence in Mumbai to offer condolences to the ‘Bellbottom’ actor. B’town celebs also expressed their condolences for the actor and his family on social media.
Now, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi also expressed his condolences to Akshay Kumar in a letter. The ‘Sooryavanshi’ actor shared the letter on his social media and wrote, “Humbled by condolence messages on the passing of mother, to all honorable PMs for taking the time for this wonderful gesture and expressing heartfelt feelings for me and my late Grateful. Parents. These comforting words will always be with me. Jai Ambe”.
The letter read, “My dear Akshay, it would have been better that I never write such a letter. Such a time should never have come in an ideal world. I am saddened by the passing of your mother, Mrs. Aruna Bhatia. When I told you that Speaking of horrific mornings, you went gaga and you summed it up emotionally when you wrote, “She was my core. And today I feel an inexhaustible pain at the core of my existence.”
“After hard work and struggle you tasted success. You have made a name for yourself and achieved fame through your determination and tenacity. Through your journey, you upheld the right values and moral strength, which enabled you to easily turn adversity into opportunities. And you got this lesson from your parents. When you started your career, I’m sure people along the way would have been skeptical, even outright condescending. But your mother stood by you like a rock. At the pinnacle of success and the pinnacle of failure, she was present as an anchor. He made sure that you remain kind, compassionate and courteous at all times. He also instilled a sense of service in you, which was seen time and again through your philanthropic initiatives and eagerness to give back to the society. Happily, during his life he saw you scale new heights of success and stardom. The way you took care of him is very inspiring. He completely left the world knowing that his lovely son is one of the most admired and versatile actors of India. Words seldom do justice in such times of sorrow. Cherish his memories and legacy and keep making him proud. My condolences are with you and your family at this sad time. Om Shanti”, read the letter further.
