PM Modi’s Nepal outreach: Is Nepal still India’s most trusted neighbour?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who visited Nepal on the invitation of his counterpart Sher Bahadur Deuba on a day-long visit to Lumbini on the occasion of Buddha Purnima, said he had an “excellent” meeting with Sher Bahadur Deuba.

The two leaders discussed the full range of bilateral relations and the two sides inked key MoUs to diversify and deepen cooperation. They also discussed specific initiatives and ideas to further strengthen cooperation in various sectors, including culture, economy, trade, connectivity, energy and development partnership.
