PM Modi’s mega roadshow in Gujarat for the second consecutive day

Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is currently in his home state of Gujarat, held a roadshow in Gandhinagar on Saturday.

This was the second such event of Prime Minister Modi in Gujarat in two days.

During the roadshow organized between the National Defense University (RRU) at Dehgam town and Lavad village in Gandhinagar district, the Prime Minister greeted a large number of people standing on both sides of the road during the roadshow, PTI reported.

Before the roadshow, the Prime Minister had left the Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar in a car and had shifted to an open jeep on reaching Dehgam.

A large number of people who came to greet the Prime Minister on the 12 km route of the road show welcomed him with wreaths and flower petals.

The road show ended when the vehicles reached RRU where the Prime Minister would address the first convocation.

Later this evening, he is scheduled to inaugurate Khel Mahakumbh – a sporting event.

Earlier on Friday, Prime Minister Modi held a roadshow from Ahmedabad airport to Kamalam, the BJP headquarters in Gandhinagar.

These road shows are being seen as the launch of the campaign of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by Prime Minister Modi for the Gujarat Assembly elections to be held in December this year.

The BJP is facing the challenge of retaining power in the state.

Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Gujarat came a day after the BJP’s resounding victory in assembly elections in four states, including the politically important Uttar Pradesh.
