Prime minister Narendra Modi Will be in Hyderabad on Thursday to attend the 20th Annual Function of the Indian School of Business (be it). Around 900 students from ISB’s Hyderabad and Mohali campuses will participate in the event. Police sources told PTI that in view of the Prime Minister’s visit to the city, around 2,500 police personnel will be deployed and all necessary arrangements have been made.

When asked whether the police was collecting the details of ISB students as a precautionary measure, sources said they were checking the history of all those who would attend the event. “We do background checks of all those who will be in the close proximity of the Prime Minister. Not only students, employees are also involved. It is not exclusive to all the students who are attending the event,” said sources.

On reports of some students being monitored on social media accounts and online posts, sources said, “…whatever is required is being done as part of background checks.” He said that to identify any stranger, antecedents are also being verified of the occupants of the institute premises.

Meanwhile, the police ordered that no flying activities of remotely controlled drones or para-gliders or remotely controlled micro-light aircraft shall be permitted in an area surrounded by a radius of five kilometers from the Indian School of Business, Gachibowli and This order will remain in force from 12 noon on May 25 to 6 pm on May 26.

PM Modi is also scheduled to visit Chennai on Thursday.
