‘PM Modi visiting foreign countries, but not Manipur’: Ashok Gehlot over Manipur women video

Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his remarks of only “few seconds” on the situation in Manipur.

CM Gehlot while addressing a press conference in Jaipur questioned why the PM did not visit the northeastern state while it was burning for more than 2 months.

“The Prime Minister has visited various countries across the world, it is a good thing. But, there is BJP government in Manipur, imagine what PM Modi would have said if Congress was in power there,” said Ashok Gehlot.

The CM of Rajasthan said that if PM Modi could not visit the state, then he himself should have reviewed the situation by holding a meeting.

Coming down heavily on PM Modi, he said, “For the first time, I see the PM going to poll-bound states like Rajasthan and other places for campaigning, but not Manipur.”

Meanwhile, Manipur Police has arrested a total of five accused in the heinous incident ever since a shocking video surfaced on the internet in which two women paraded naked.
