PM Modi to visit voting Manipur and Tripura today to inaugurate various projects

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Manipur and Tripura today to inaugurate 22 projects in Manipur and the new Integrated Terminal Building at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport in Tripura. PM Modi will be in Imphal, Manipur at 11 am and from there will go to Agartala in Tripura at around 2 pm.

In the electoral state of Manipur, the PM will inaugurate 13 projects worth Rs 1850 crore and lay the foundation stone for nine projects worth Rs 2950 crore.

According to a press release by the Prime Minister’s Office, “these projects pertain to diverse sectors such as road infrastructure, drinking water supply, health, urban development, housing, information technology, skill development, arts and culture.”

Among the projects to be inaugurated are steel bridges over the Barak river on NH 37, which will improve the year-long connectivity from Imphal to Silchar. To improve connectivity and reduce traffic congestion, the PM will lay the foundation stone for five national highways with a cumulative length of 110 km.

The Prime Minister will also dedicate 2,387 mobile towers to the people of Manipur who will boost mobile connectivity in the region. The towers have been constructed at a cost of Rs 1100 crore. Apart from this, he will also inaugurate drinking water projects in Imphal which will provide clean drinking water to every household.

Other projects to be inaugurated by the PM include State of the Art Cancer Hospital, 200 bedded COVID Hospital at Kiamgei built in collaboration with DRDO, Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC), Development of Western Riverfront on Imphal River (Phase I) Is. , and ‘Development of Mall Road at Thangal Bazar (Phase I).

He will also lay the foundation stone of the Center for Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training (CIIIT), which will “promote the information technology sector besides creating employment opportunities in the state”, among other projects.

PM in Tripura

During his visit to Tripura, Prime Minister Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) will inaugurate the new integrated terminal building of the airport and launch major initiatives like Chief Minister Tripura Gram Samridhi Yojana and Project Mission 100 of Vidyajyoti Schools.

The airport is a state-of-the-art building, built at a cost of Rs 450 crore, spread over 30,000 square meters with modern facilities and an IT network-integrated system.

Project Mission 100 of Vidyajyoti Vidyalayas aims at improving education by converting the existing 100 schools into Vidyajyoti schools in the state. And Mukhyamantri Tripura Gram Samridhi Yojana aims at setting benchmarks for service delivery in key development areas at the village level.
