PM Modi to visit Pune to inaugurate metro rail project on March 6

new Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to inaugurate the Pune Metro Rail project worth more than Rs. 11,400 crores tomorrow in Pune on 6th March 2022. The Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement that he would also inaugurate and lay foundation stones of various development projects.

The prime minister will unveil the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the Pune Municipal Corporation premises at 11 am. The statue is made of 1,850 kg gunmetal and is about 9.5 feet tall.

PM Modi is scheduled to unveil the Pune Metro Rail project at 11:30 am. The foundation stone of the project was laid by the Prime Minister on December 24, 2016. Out of the total 32.6 km, the Prime Minister will inaugurate a 12 km stretch. The entire project is being prepared at a cost of more than one crore rupees. 11,400 crores.

He will also inaugurate and inspect the exhibition at Garware Metro Station and take a Metro ride from there to Anandnagar Metro Station.

After the celebrations, he will lay the foundation stone for various other development projects including rejuvenation and pollution abatement of the Mula-Mutha river projects.

Project costing Rs. 1080 will be done on a 9 km stretch of the river, including river bank protection, interceptor sewage network, public facilities, boating activity etc.

The Mula-Mutha River Pollution Abatement Project will be implemented on the concept of “One City One Operator” at a cost of not more than Rs. 1470 crores. A total of 11 sewage treatment plants will be constructed under this project with a total capacity of about 400 MLD. The Prime Minister will also launch 100 e-buses and e-bus depots to be built at Baner.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate the RK Laxman Art Gallery-Museum at Balewadi, Pune. The highlight of the museum is a miniature model based on Malgudi village which will be brought to life through audio-visual effects. The works of renowned cartoonist RK Laxman will be displayed in the museum.

After this, at around 1:45 pm, the Prime Minister will start the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Symbiosis University.
