PM Modi’s address: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address 12 post-budget webinars which will be held between February 23 and March 11, 2023. These webinars are being organized by various Ministries/Departments to build on the “Saptarishi” priorities outlined in the Union Budget 2023- 24, said a press release by the Finance Ministry.

Under the visionary leadership of the Prime Minister, the Government has undertaken several budgetary reforms over the years. The budget date was postponed to February 1 to give enough time to ministries and departments to utilize the funds before the onset of monsoon.

Another step towards improving budget implementation was the new idea of post budget webinars. The idea was conceptualized by the Prime Minister to bring together practitioners from the public and private sectors, academia, industry and the sector on a single platform and work collaboratively on implementation strategies across sectors.

These webinars were started in the spirit of Jan Bhagidari in 2021 and encourage participation and ownership of all concerned stakeholders in effective, speedy and seamless implementation of Budget announcements.

Focus of the Webinar:

The webinars will focus on synergizing the efforts of various ministers and departments and preparation of action plans with quarterly targets of all concerned stakeholders so that the implementation is front end and smooth with timely achievement of expected results. They are being conducted virtually to ensure wider participation.
