Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday paid tributes to freedom fighters Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and Acharya Kriplani on the occasion of their birth anniversary.
Paying tribute to socialist and Congressman Kriplani, the Prime Minister said that he was at the fore in the country’s freedom struggle under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi.
Acharya Kripalani was at the fore in the freedom struggle of India under the leadership of Bapu. He had a great vision for our country and worked to fulfill it as an MP. He made immense contribution towards environmental protection and social empowerment. Remembering him on his birth anniversary.

In a tweet, Modi also paid tribute to Onake Obavwa, who died fighting Haider Ali’s soldiers while saving a fort. She said that she inspires people as a symbol of India’s women power.
