new Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Khel Mahakumbh 2022 on Saturday evening. This is the 11th Khel Mahakumbh event.
Khel Mahakumbh started in 2010 has revolutionized sports in Gujarat. With 16 sports and 1.3 million participants, Khel Mahakumbh today comprises 36 general sports and 26 para-sports. More than 45 lakh players have registered for the 11th Khel Mahakumbh.

With no age limit, the event saw the participation of people from across the state, who participate in various competitions over a period of one month. It is a unique amalgamation of traditional sports like kabaddi, kho-kho, tug of war, yogasana, mallakhamb and modern sports like artistic skating, tennis and fencing.
