Ahead of the Quad Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday held a bilateral meeting with his Japanese counterpart Yoshihide Suga in Washington DC.
On the first day of his US visit, PM Modi held several meetings with the global CEO, Australian counterpart Scott Morrison, Vice President Kamala Harris and the Japanese PM.
“A special strategic and global partnership with Japan – firmly rooted in history and based on common values! PM Narendra Modi and PM Yoshihide Suga met today. Discussed a range of issues: Indo-Pacific, regional development, supply chain resilience , business, the digital economy and P2P relations.”
A fruitful meeting took place in Washington DC, taking forward the friendship with the Prime Ministers of Japan @narendramodi & @sugawitter. The Ministry of External Affairs tweeted that the two leaders discussed a range of issues, including ways to further accelerate trade and cultural ties.
