Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a visit to his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on Thursday. He will inaugurate ‘Rudraksh’, an international cooperation and convention center symbolizing the friendship of Japan and India, which will present a glimpse of the cultural richness of the ancient city of Kashi. Along with this, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of many development projects worth more than 15 hundred crore rupees.

A day before coming to Varanasi, PM Modi made several tweets one after the other regarding the Kashi visit on Wednesday. He said in his tweet- ‘Tomorrow on 15th July I will be in Kashi to inaugurate a wide range of development works worth over Rs 1500 crores. These works will advance the ‘ease of living’ for the people of Kashi and Purvanchal.’

In another tweet, PM Modi said that I am happy to inaugurate a convention center ‘Rudraksh’ in Varanasi. This state-of-the-art center, built with Japanese assistance, will make Varanasi an attractive center for conventions and thus attract more tourists and businessmen to the city.

He further wrote that our vision for Kashi is to build quality infrastructure for the generations to come. In this spirit, CIPET will lay the foundation stone for rural projects under Jal Jeevan Mission and Integrated Pack House for mango as well as vegetables in Karkhianv.

In another tweet, Prime Minister Modi said that the major projects that will be inaugurated in Kashi include multi-level parking at Godaulia, Ro-Ro vessels for tourism development, three-lane flyover bridge on Varanasi-Ghazipur highway.

He said that in the last few years, the Center and the Uttar Pradesh government have worked in a big way in the health sector. Under these efforts, a 100-bed MCH wing will be inaugurated at BHU Hospital. This project will make quality healthcare easily accessible to the people of Kashi and surrounding areas.

It is worth noting that the last time PM Modi had come to Kashi on the day of Dev Deepawali. It is being told that on this visit, the Prime Minister will visit the Kashi Vishwanath temple and take stock of the progress of his Kashi Vishwanath Dham construction work. PM Modi will be in Kashi for five hours on Thursday.

Elaborate security arrangements have been made in view of their arrival. There will be security of the Prime Minister from water, land and air. The city has been converted into a cantonment. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also reached Varanasi late on Wednesday evening for a review before the preparations for the PM’s arrival were finalised. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Varanasi airport at 10.30 am and from here he will reach BHU by army helicopter. Here IIT will address the public meeting along with inaugurating the projects and laying the foundation stone at the sports ground. After this, he will inspect the newly constructed MCH wing at BHU and communicate with selected people associated with health services on the possible third wave of corona. After this, PM Modi will come to Sampurnanand Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya by helicopter and will reach Rudraksh Convention Center at Sigra by road from the helipad. After inaugurating the Rudraksh Bhawan here, he will interact with the enlightened people belonging to different sections of the city. PM will return to Delhi at 3.30 pm.
