New Delhi: Government will set up e-commerce platform To provide a market for the products made by Self Help Groups (SHGs), the Prime Minister said Narendra Modi on Sunday.
Delivering his traditional address to the nation on the occasion of 75th Independence Day on Sunday, the Prime Minister said, “More than 8 crore women in the village are associated with Self Help Groups, which manufacture products. The government will prepare An e-commerce platform for its products to get a bigger market at home and abroad.”
He further said that the country is moving ahead with the slogan ‘Vocal for Local’.
The Prime Minister said, “India has started the ‘Local for Vocal’ initiative and it is our responsibility to buy indigenous products. Our dream of a plastic free India can be realized only when we completely stop the use of single use plastic. Give.” .
Talking about the development in rural areas, he said, “Today we see our villages changing rapidly. In the last few years, facilities like roads, electricity have reached the villages. Today optical fiber network provides data to villages. providing power.”
