Will flag off the Vande Bharat Express train through video conferencing.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the 8th Vande Bharat Express train through video conferencing today at 10:30 am. It will run between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam. The train will cover a distance of around 700 kms. This will be the first Vande Bharat train connecting Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

PM Modi flagged off the first Vande Bharat Express train on 15 February 2019, which runs from New Delhi to Varanasi.

It will stop at 6 places between two states
This train will stop at 3-3 railway stations of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In Andhra Pradesh it will stop at Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry and Vijayawada railway stations, while in Telangana it will stop at Khammam, Warangal and Secunderabad.

Stones were pelted in this train before flagging off

On January 11, there was stone pelting on the train in Visakhapatnam even before it was flagged off. According to the DRM, the incident took place during maintenance near Kancharapalem. The windshield of a coach of the Vande Bharat Express was damaged. A case has been registered in the matter and further investigation is on.
