The association alleged that the developers had sold the same plot to multiple buyers and now sold the land to another developer without their consent. The members alleged that the developers are asking them to accept a floor of 150 square yards in lieu of their plots of 400-500 square yards.
TOI reached out to KRPL Director Amit Katyal for comment but did not get revert. Meanwhile, a BCPL spokesperson said, “BCPL is a separate and distinct legal entity. complainants appear to be allottee of KRPL and hence, BCPL is not responsible for any act or omission committed by KRPL.
He further added, “BCPL was developing an integrated township, Brahma City, in Sectors 60 to 63 and 65. Brahma City was divided into two parts – Brahma City being developed by BCPL with the allocation of Brahma. , and the allocation of agriculture is being developed as Krishi. World by KRPL.”
A buyer, Akshay Bhatia, said that they have been making rounds of various offices for the past several years, but to no avail. “We invested all our savings and after 11 years, developers are depriving us of our plots. We had bought plots of 400-500 square yards and now they are giving us a builder floor of 150 square yards,” Bhatia said.
The buyers alleged that the developers approached the National Company Law Tribunal and struck a deal with another realtor to hand over the entire project for development of the builder floor without the buyers’ consent. “The developer has not obtained our consent before entering into a settlement with any third party. We had bought a plot and the developer should deliver it,” said DD Singla, another buyer.
“We have contacted all government officials, but no action has been taken. They are either helpless against builders or join hands with them,” said Naresh Garg, who also invested in the project.
